Zuckerman Family Center Partnership with Lapan College and Career Club
Empowering youth. Strengthening communities. Growing future health leaders.
In August 2024, our center proudly began our partnership with the Lapan College and Career Club (LC3) in South Tucson. This collaboration has offered a unique opportunity for ZFCPHP interns to immerse themselves in meaningful services rooted in shared values of empowerment, mentorship and uplifting youth. Throughout the academic year, interns grow as they deepened their understanding of health equity, community resilience, and the power of opportunity. ZFCPHP interns help integrate health and wellness into after-school programs such as soccer club, art club, robotics, pet therapy, and garden club (El Jardín). Through this collaboration, students have opportunities to build life skills, strengthen well-being and grow in a supportive community environment.
